What is Birth Trauma Coaching?

Unlike therapy, which often explores deeper clinical concerns or past trauma, coaching is forward-focused and centers on helping you prepare emotionally for what's ahead. Together, we'll work trimester by trimester, or throughout your entire pregnancy, to tend to your nervous system, strengthen your inner resources, and build a sense of safety and agency in your body and your birth plan.

In the first trimester, we focus on establishing a foundation of safety and support: processing early fears, validating your story, and helping you reclaim your voice in pregnancy.

In the second trimester, we explore what it means to carry a new baby while still holding the imprint of a previous birth. We'll work with your emotional landscape and begin to develop practical strategies for communicating with your care team and planning a birth that centers your needs.

In the third trimester, we prepare for birth with intention. We'll work together to create a somatic toolkit for labor, build trust in your body again, and anchor you in the truth that this birth can be different.

Birth trauma coaching is not about fixing you, because you are not broken. It's about walking with you, with care and clarity, as you step into birth feeling more empowered, supported, and emotionally prepared. Available to mothers nationally.

How do I know if Birth Trauma Coaching is right for me?

Birth Trauma Coaching may be a good fit if you're pregnant, or planning to be, and carrying the emotional imprint of a previous birth that felt overwhelming, frightening, or out of your control. You might not identify with a clinical diagnosis, but you know something doesn't feel quite right. You may feel anxious, disconnected from your body, hesitant to trust your care team, or simply unsure how to prepare for birth after what you've been through.

Coaching is a powerful option if you're looking for emotional support that's focused on the now and the next. It's especially supportive if you:

  • Want to feel more grounded and safe in your current pregnancy
  • Are having intrusive thoughts or fears about giving birth again
  • Feel unseen or invalidated by your care team or loved ones
  • Are seeking practical, body-based tools to prepare for a different kind of birth
  • Crave space to discuss your past experience without diving deep into therapy

You don't have to carry the weight of your last birth into this one. Coaching is here to help you reconnect with your strength, your intuition, and your vision for this next chapter.
